There are a number of reasons why your child's dentist may have suggested orthodontic treatment. For example, your child's teeth may have a "bad bite - or malocclusion - is a condition in which teeth are crowded or out of alignment. In addition, the jaws may not meet properly. A malocclusion may be present even though teeth may appear straight.
